Zoom Traitors 7 Recap, All-Stars Cast, What's Next at Gibbs Games
Highlights from the Seven Deadly Sins game and a look ahead at upcoming events, including Zoom Traitors 8 and 9 casting information
It was a wild day of gameplay in Gibbs Manor celebrating the Seven Deadly Sins. Here's what went down, and what’s coming up in the world of Gibbs Games, including a first look at the cast of Zoom Traitors All-Stars, casting information for Season 9, and other upcoming games on the channel.
First off, congrats to our big winners, Sarah and Sasha. They expertly ran the game in the shadows from start to finish as Traitors, picking off Faithfuls one by one, and even voting out one of their own, Garrett, at final 6. Given a prisoner's dilemma at the end of the game, both Sarah and Sasha chose to split the pot, each taking home $100 and a eternal bragging rights. Shoutout to Sasha who was the first murdered player in Season 6. Awesome comeback story!
One standout moment from the day? Sloth Day’s poison twist. To mark a player for death, a Traitor had to get someone to say the trigger word: lazy. Garrett stepped up, creatively donning a “Lazy Dayz” sign on his hat to bait Drew into saying it. Garrett told everyone it was just part of his “outfit” for Sloth Day. It worked, and it pushed the meta forward. Moving forward, poisoners will be banned from saying or writing the trigger word.
Garrett’s “lazy” shenanigans also led to the most dramatic moment of the season: traitor Sarah turning on Garrett. In a breakout session, Sarah mentioned to a small group of Faithfuls that she suspected Garrett’s “outfit” might be the work of a poisoner. It was an unprovoked bus throw, and it ultimately led to Garrett’s downfall, giving the faithful just enough of a taste of blood to keep Sarah and Sasha around long enough to win.
We also had a couple of robbed goddesses in the cast this season. Charlotte and Maris each got recruited to be traitors, only to get voted out before even setting foot in the turret. One might wonder if those two deserve another shot at the game…
From a production standpoint, Season 7 was our most ambitious season yet. Not only did the costume changes evolve to themed days, but we had new strategic elements as well. This was the first time we introduced Immunity Crests, which are Zoom Traitors’ version of immunity idols. In this season, one was hidden and one was earned, as a reminder to future players to always keep their eyes open for any tea/secrets spilled by Matthew or the digital ghosts of Gibbs Manor. 👀
One bit of unfortunate news is that due to a YouTube processing error, we lost our live stream from YouTube, including its 300+ views and 250+ viewing hours that counted towards our monetization goals. Luckily I made a local recording of the stream, so the full show can be now be watched at its new link here. But it’s a frustrating setback, especially since we had such a robust live audience, and there’s no real lesson to learn for me since it appears that I did everything right in the stream setup. I never thought there wouldn’t be speed bumps in this project, especially early on, so we will forge ahead!
Introducing, Zoom Traitors All-Stars: Back to School
That’s right, it’s our first All-Stars season and it is loaded with talent. Many of our All-Stars haven’t played since the first few seasons, so class will be in session for them to catch up with the game in its current form. We also have 8 previous winners who will be ready to show the rest of the cast what it takes to go all the way to the end.

My content plan is to make Zoom Traitors the tentpole Gibbs Game, taking place roughly every month. In between those flagship shows, I plan to host more casual livestreamed game nights. (Say “Gibbs Games Game Nights” five times fast!)
For the smaller scale streams, we’re starting with Goose Goose Duck and Blood on the Clocktower. Everyone is invited to watch, and if you’re interested in playing, please get in touch with me by replying to the newsletter or DMing me on any of our social platforms. (At this time we’d prefer to have folks on the stream who have at least some experience playing the games so they can focus on playing for #TeamTV.
As you can see, we’ve got lots of fun stuff coming up. Make sure you’re subscribed to the YouTube channel so you don’t miss any of the action! (We went from 80-110 subscribers from Season 7’s stream, so thanks to all who have subscribed and watched!)
